Today the University of WI-Milwaukee held a groundbreaking ceremony commemorating their new Chemistry Building. The new 163,400 SF state-of-the-art building will house the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry with learning and research laboratories and will also support and expand offerings for all STEM and health science related majors.
UWM Chancellor Mark Mone said, “Chemistry underlies nearly every growth industry, and we know that STEM jobs are growing faster than non-STEM jobs. Employers need graduates who have the opportunity to conduct practical research and develop skills to solve problems. We are delighted to begin work on a new, modern chemistry building that will better prepare our students for the multitude of opportunities open to them.”
Kahler Slater is proud to be delivering this project in partnership with CannonDesign.
