Congratulations to our client, ThriveOn Collaboration who commemorated the opening of its new community center with a ribbon cutting. ThriveOn King is a restoration and redevelopment of the iconic Gimbels-Schuster’s Department Store building and will become the new home of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and the community engagement programs of the Medical College of Wisconsin. The first floor of the building will be an innovative community hub offering gathering space, a stage, and a cafe. Anchor tenants include Malaika Early Learning Center, JobsWork MKE, and Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin.
Kahler Slater led the branding, public art, signage, and wayfinding efforts for this project to elevate the Collaboration’s vision while empowering and engaging the local community. This project was completed in partnership with Engberg Anderson Architects.
