Kahler Slater, a global, award-winning architecture, interior design, strategic advisory and environmental branding firm, is pleased to announce that Barbara Mellema has joined the company as Project Leader - Healthcare. Mellema recently relocated to Richmond, Virginia to strengthen Kahler Slater’s growing Mid-Atlantic team where her national expertise in healthcare planning and design will support complex project work for Kahler Slater’s healthcare clients.
Mellema has more than 23 years of progressive experience as a healthcare planner and project manager. Most recently she worked for GBBN Architects in Cincinnati. Prior to that, she was a senior associate at CannonDesign in Baltimore. Earlier in her career she was a planner, designer and manager for firms in Richmond, Virginia and in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
