Mary Baldwin College trustees, administrators, and staff gathered on the ever-evolving construction site of the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences in Fishersville last week to celebrate the completion of the steel structure that will house MBC’s newest graduate programs next year. The construction crew was treated to lunch, MBC officials signed a beam that was hoisted by crane to complete the framing of the entrance to the building, and officials with Kjellstrom + Lee Construction led tours of the emerging structure that overlooks Interstate 64. According to Fulton Sensabaugh, partner at the construction firm, crews will start “closing up the building” in the next several weeks. Murphy Deming plans to open its doors to students in June 2014.
