We are excited to announce the expansion of our U.S. office presence to Charlotte with the hire of Christopher W. Morales, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP. Chris will serve as Vice President and National Healthcare Practice Leader as well as lead our Charlotte operations. The Charlotte location will establish Kahler Slater’s 5th U.S. office.
The announcement marks a key milestone in our continued growth in the Mid-Atlantic and demonstrates a commitment to the region by providing our clients with an experienced North Carolina-based team. The strategic move to open an office in Charlotte will act as a catalyst for all of our markets, including healthcare, higher education, workplace, hospitality, and multi-family residential.

Chris brings extensive experience in healthcare strategy and design. In his role, he will serve Kahler Slater’s healthcare clients both locally and nationally. Previously, he served as the President of FreemanWhite a Haskell Company, and as Vice President, Healthcare Design Division Leader at The Haskell Company. Chris was responsible for the design of more than $2.5 Billion in healthcare projects and $2.6 Billion in projects in total. A resident of the Charlotte Metro for the past 30 years, Chris has provided professional advisory, planning, and design services to many of the nation’s leading health systems.
