Ripon College held a grand opening ceremony to commemorate the completion of the new Hopp Stadium. With a goal to enhance the Red Hawks student-athlete experience and improve the vibrancy of campus life, the new 157,000 square-foot stadium is located adjacent to the Kahler Slater designed Willmore Center health and wellness facility on campus.
Completed in five months, the stadium houses Ripon’s football, men's and women's soccer teams, and serves the entire student body and local community. Hopp Stadium features a 2,000-seat grandstand and press box, formal entrance, outdoor plaza, and branding to enhance the game-day experience. The stadium will also host concerts, intramural activities, and student and community events.
"The construction of an on-campus stadium is proof of the commitment to athletics and our student-athlete experience. Our players will have the best facilities in our conference and the location will allow our students and fans to make the Red Hawks gameday atmosphere one of the best in the region,” said Jake Marshall, Head Football Coach.
Kahler Slater designed the new campus outdoor stadium along with The Boldt Company.
