Black Hills State University recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the West River Health Science Center (WRHSC). The nursing addition and renovation will further advance the University’s commitment to nursing growth and the need for nurses in the region. The new facility will enhance how campus recruits, teaches, and mentor students by bringing all areas of student experience under one roof.
“The new expansion will allow the nursing students to have one home where they can learn and then the pre-nursing students can mingle and learn from the nursing students. The building will have simulation labs, clinical labs, classrooms, graduate teaching facilities and faculty offices all in one space,” said Samantha Smith, Academic Coordinator for WRHSC.
Kahler Slater and TSP, Inc. are partnered to design and deliver this project.
