Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center Receives NIRSA 2024 Outstanding Facilities Award

Congratulations to the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on receiving a 2024 NIRSA Outstanding Facilities Award.

Bakke was designed to address the current and future recreation and fitness needs on campus and to become the center for wellbeing on a campus. The new facility offers students a 25-yard recreational pool, 8 basketball courts, an ice sheet with spectator seating, expanded fitness areas, multipurpose studios, and an indoor jogging track. An adapted fitness space, e-sports, all-sport simulators, and a demonstration kitchen were also incorporated to provide a more inclusive experience.
