Augusta Health Breaks Ground on New Heart and Vascular Center

Augusta Health executives and community members broke ground on their new Heart and Vascular Center Friday, September 30. Designed to be a Cardiac Center of Excellence, the project embodies their vision to provide state-of-the-art heart and vascular care while keeping patients closer to home.

The four-story, 67,500 SF addition and remodeling was designed with input from radiologists, cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and nursing staff who, together, have championed the program. The inclusive planning process has fostered collaborative relationships that the Augusta Health Administration hopes will ensure this new Center of Excellence will attract patients both from within and outside their region.
