The Water Council brought in Kahler Slater to reimagine a 105-year-old, seven-story warehouse, providing a space for their water-related research activities.
The Kahler Slater architecture, interior design, and environmental branding team designed a state-of-the-art flow lab that allows testing to be performed in-house, quickly and efficiently. The new workplace allows the Global Water Center to provide research to existing water industry companies. The building design was driven by sustainability and has achieved LEED Silver certification. Historic tax credits as well as new market tax credits were utilized.
