Kahler Slater collaborated with Indeed Brewing Company to revitalize an abandoned 1943 industrial building. The design team utilized the entire 6,600-square-foot floor plate to craft a vision for Indeed’s new pilot brewery, housing a 2,400-square-foot, 10-Barrel brewhouse, and a 3,500-square-foot old world taproom. Encompassing the patron in oak millwork, the brewery is set on a beautiful, two toned – German hand-craft quarry tile, floated around steel trough drains.
As you make your journey along the pilot brewery, the new taproom begins to unveil itself, transcending the patrons into a completely different experience. The design goal of the facility was to allow visitors to remove themselves from their day to day, place them in a setting that would allow them to focus in on the experience that is Indeed Brewing - a marriage between new world technologies (brewery) and old-world craft (taproom).
