Texas Women’s University
Dental Hygiene Clinic & Counseling Center

Denton, Texas

With a core strategy to provide individualized patient care and oral healthcare to local communities, Texas Woman's University engaged Kahler Slater and BRW Architects to transform a 1960’s dormitory on the Denton campus into a contemporary dental hygiene and student counseling services clinic. The aging building was brought up to current codes and contemporary accessibility standards.

Spaces within the renovation include a dental hygiene clinic, faculty practice clinic, central sterile facility, materials lab, and radiology suite. Both clinical programs include space for general and specialized practice requirements as well as multidisciplinary, general practice, specialized practice, and support spaces. The student counseling services clinic includes general counseling rooms and specialized spaces. Also included is a multidisciplinary classroom and conference room.

Kahler Slater partnered with BRW Architects to design and deliver this project.
