Holy Redeemer Health System’s goal is to create unique, world-class experiences for their patients, families, and caregiver teams. Kahler Slater worked with Holy Redeemer on renovating an existing building into an innovative ambulatory service. The 20,000 square foot health center supports their new model of ambulatory care, providing unique organization; patient amenities; extensive use of color, texture and light; and separation of “on and off-stage” spaces for staff.

The specialty services in this clinic include: family practice, obstetrics, breast surgery, ENT, integrative medicine, lab and imaging. In their model, Navigators are stationed to aid entering guests. Interior spaces flow seamlessly between clinical practice areas to give patients and families the opportunities to experience many amenities and positive features such as “living room” spaces at the suite entries. Prevalent in the design are small conversation rooms to privately engage patients at the beginning of each encounter and technology-equipped spaces to encourage patients to learn about their health.

Holy Redeemer views its caregivers as vital to the healing journey. To reflect this, the "talent entrance" includes a private kitchen, mailboxes and lockers that connect to a corridor stretching the entire length of the facility. These spaces allow staff time to make their off-stage / on-stage transition. This new environment supports health and wellness, as well as Holy Redeemer’s delivery of exceptional patient experiences.
